Amansie rural bank PLC posts over 200% profit growth in 2024, pays dividends for 2 years

Amansie Rural Bank PLC posted a strong financial performance for the year 2024, obtaining a profit before tax of GH¢36 million.

This represents a 208 per cent growth, as compared to the GH¢11.7 million obtained in 2023.

Management of the bank attributes the impressive profit return to improved incomes generated from credits and investment operations, coupled with curtailed recurrent expenditures on the part of the Bank’s management and board.

The Amansie Rural Bank PLC at Antoakrom in the Amansie West District of Ashanti Region has out doored a new corporate cloth. The new corporate cloth according to Management is a consistent move to maintain the Bank’s corporate image and brand awareness

The CEO of the Bank, Frederick Kwakye Kyei said that the introduction of the new cloth is part of the Bank’s rebranding agenda as well as reform approaches to meet the current marketing trends in the banking industry.

According to him, the healthy competition in the banking industry is bringing some form of innovative strategies and that the Bank has a responsibility to make a conscious effort to meet the prevailing standards.

Amansie West Rural Bank unveils new corporate identity

Amansie West Rural Bank Limited at Antoakrom in the Amansie Central District of Ashanti Region has unveiled a new corporate identity positioning itself to be a leader and center of excellence in the rural banking sector as it rebrands to Amansie Rural Bank PLC.

The bank which has been in operation for 39 years for the first time, has changed its corporate logo to reflect and revitalise its operations to be efficient and deliver higher returns to its stakeholders.

Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ben Kwakye-Adeefe (Esq.), highlighted that the rebranding is being done in compliance with the new Companies Act 2019 (Act 992) where all financial institutions are to change from LTD to Public Limited Company (PLC).

Amansie West Rural Bank limited posts over 300% profit

Amansie West Rural Bank limited has posted 314.97 percent of profit before tax for the 2020 financial year.

The profit increased from 1,212,717 cedis in 2019 to 5,032,443 cedis at the end of 2020 which has been described as very difficult year for the business world.

At the 36th annual general meeting held at Antoakrom in the Manso area, General Manager of the Bank, Frederick Kyei Kwakye, explained that the surge in profit is attributed to improved revenues and curtailed operational expenses.

This was despite the effect of some locked-up funds with liquidated financial institutions which is impacting negatively on the operations of Banks and SDIs in 2020.

Who We Are

The Bank has successfully changed its name in the records of the Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) and the Bank of Ghana from Amansie West Rural Bank Limited to the AMANSIE RURAL BANK PLC which was approved by the Shareholders in 2020.
